Plenary Five: Nuclear Beyond Electricity – Isotopes and their Applications |
Although nuclear power plants are most well-known for electricity production, they can be used for several applications beyond electricity generation. The aim of this panel session is to impart an overview of the breadth of innovative paths for isotope production and their applications for the benefit to various sectors of society. Tritium and emerging applications for heavy water, production of isotopes at the nuclear power plants and their use in agriculture and areas of the industry are among the topics of this plenary. |
